Brazil 2014: Chorizo Delights

Yum

Mexico may be out of the tournament in Brazil, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate their success while it lasted. Chorizo is a staple of Mexican cuisine so it’s a great way to honor the national soccer team with our palates. As we continue to watch the excitement from our living rooms, here are two great appetizer recipes to remind us that Mexico is always a winner when it comes to food.

Silvia Martinez from Mama Latina Tips wanted to create a recipe for a finger food that her whole family could enjoy while watching the game. In the spirit of red, white, and green, she developed Spicy Pinwheels with Cheese and Chorizo. They are ready in under an hour, and she recommends doubling or tripling the ingredients so they don’t get finished too early. You can get the recipe by clicking here.

Karen Delgado from Mi Cocina Rapida tried her luck at soccer while she was in high school, but she quickly realized that she was a lot better at cheering her teams than playing on them. One of her favorite ways to show her support is through cooking, and her recipe for Potato Taquitos with Chorizo is here to prove it. You can get the recipe by clicking here.
